Archeology The Holy Quran describes the story of Prophet Noah (peace be on him), his building of the Ark, the people who joined him and the Flood in detail. The water started gushing out from a particular oven, followed by a large number of other springs as well as a heavy down pour from the sky. The lost city of Ubar, called "the Atlantis of the Sands" by Lawrence of Arabia, has been found in remote southern Oman using pictures taken from space shuttle Challenger. The city is referred to as Iram, the "city of towers" in the Holy Quran, Surah Al-Fajr.

History Unquestionably, Muslims have made an impact on the evolution of American society. Historically Muslims have made major contributions, e.g. humanities, the sciences, and art. They explored North America 300 years before the so-called "discovery" of the New World by Christopher Columbus. They used the Mississippi river as their access route to and from the continent's interior.
Islam and Science Islam promotes the study of the sciences. There is no conflict between science and Islam. "Do they not consider the Qur'an? Had it been from any other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy."
Sociology Alcohol is a leading cause of death and serious injuries in traffic accidents. Islam forbids all intoxicants including beer and wine. It is unbecoming of a religious person to drink. Don't drink! Sexual promiscuity and homosexuality are crimes in the sight of God. Lottery and all other forms of gambling, including video poker are forbidden by God. Powerball is Fireball!
Islam and Women Many Muslims have adopted the Judeo-Christian ethic which views women as the source of human tragedy because of her alleged biblical role as the temptress who seduced Adam into disobedience to his Lord. By tempting her husband to eat the forbidden fruit, she not only defied Allah, but caused humankind's expulsion from Paradise, thus instigating all temporal human suffering. Those misogynists who support this Biblical myth, dredge from the archives of psuedo-Islamic literature such as false and weak hadiths.
